Externally Pressurised


XB Key Benefits
  • The XB Externally Pressurised Bellows is well suited to allow large amounts of axial deflection in long straight runs of pipe.
  • In long straight runs of pipe that are correctly guided and have anchors to absorb the bellows pressure thrust.
  • Where it is impractical to use more than two normal bellows together because of the tendency to squirm once a certain length-diameter ratio is exceeded.
  • The XB Externally Pressurised Bellows is designed so that the pressure is external to the bellows whilst the inside is at atmospheric pressure

Double Hinged


XB Key Benefits
  • DHEB - Double Hinged Expansion Bellows. For controlled lateral deflection in one plane. Double Hinged assemblies do not transmit pressure thrust loads onto the pipeline.
  • Two DHEB can be used to absorb large amounts of axial movement in a long straight run of pipe. This expansion joint configuration acts as a very flexible pipe loop.
  • To ensure that the pressure thrust is not to be transmitted to adjacent equipment or pipe runs

Single Tied


XB Key Benefits
  • The AXIAL DYNAMICS TEB Tied Expansion Bellows and TUEB - Tied Universal Expansion Bellows - are well suited to allow lateral deflection in the low to medium pressure range. Used in this manner the tie rods will restrain the pressure thrust preventing forces being transmitted onto anchors or adjacent equipment.
  • The TEB - Tied Expansion Bellows is well suited to allow small amounts of lateral deflection and vibration.
  • The TUEB used to absorb lateral deflection in a two plane configuration. As the expansion joint will absorb lateral deflection in any direction, the two horizontal piping legs may lay at any angle in the horizontal plane.

Universal Bellows

  • The AXIAL DYNAMICS UEB Universal Expansion Bellows - are well suited to allow lateral deflection in the low to medium pressure range. Used in this manner the bellows will absorb lateral and angular movement.
  • The UEB used to absorb lateral deflection in a two plane configuration. As the expansion joint will absorb lateral deflection in any direction, the two horizontal piping legs may lay at any angle in the horizontal plane.
